Blondie,
Just hit 47 a couple of days ago...didn't bother me at all. Then you post this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reality is setting in............Damn you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mac, I do believe in fairies!
Mac, just think of it this way, when you reach 50 you become the baby of a new group of people. There are times when we are the youngest people in the room and everyone treats us like the new kids on the block. It's great.

Well AARP does good work for the elderly. Especially concerning SS and Tax benefits. They send out a magazine that is interesting but it has a lot of ads!.
You can get discounts in most restaurants after 50...
They offer many discout trips and motel stays.
I just got a good deal on a motor club through them. It was cheaper than AAA. And covered more. (Road hazard).
With hubby being ill..I needed something I could depend on in case my car boke down somewhere.
It would have been nicer if I could have stopped at 50!
Snoozy....
Blondie,
mac
Thanks, Golden Girl. Yes, it looks like we can save money now for our retirement in about 15 years.
I found their website and I am busily checking what I qualify for. I am going to re-examine my car insurance too.
Hope today is peaceful. I wish I could bring some of my husband's famous brownies to your door and spend a moment.

I wonder what the Canuck version is: C R A P
Blondie.....Actually today is peaceful...Thanks.... Now last night.............
Lets just say I can't wait to get a hospital bed.
Mother in law came and was very pleasant for a change..And you will never guess who knocked on the door while she was here.......2 witnesses!.. almost fell over!..I have lived here for 16 years and NEVER a witness!. They were all over the street! ...So I introduced them to my Mother in law (JW) and kicked their sorry butts out!....
I really scared them at first..I guess they are used to getting the door slammed in their face. I grabbed them and said...come in! I have someone for you to meet!..They looked at me like I was a Coo-coo...You should have seen the expression on their faces...Priceless!!
Hubby said there was a man in our room climbing a ladder... I bet tonight is going to be a long night again......
At least I will have company..my oldest daughter and my two grandchildren are getting my groceries and picking up some "Pasta con brocolli"..and the movie.."Master of disguises."...and spending the evning with me...My night out on the town so to speak!..
I hope I can stay awake!... I need Brownies!..He He!
Snoozy...aka...Golden Girl
To answer your RAYZ,
CARP is more accurate.

Looks like the same fine services.
To Golden Girl: You were too kind. But unfortunately, these were not the direct deservers of your, the elder(s) who promised to come are. I spent all night holding the hand of an 90 year old brother with no family in the truth and a son who was afraid of sick people. This man was dying and did not want to die alone. I was 25 and had never seen someone die before. He went so quietly, just slipped away. The elders were such cowards and babies when there was not audience. But at the funeral, oh they wanted the front seats. His son though said there would be no talk by the elder unless I could say a few words. So with hat on my head (I came prepared), I talked about his dad and his life for about 15 minutes. The elder talked for only 15 minutes more (beet red he was so mad).
So while this time is bad, remember you have been a good and loving wife. Marriage is in the good and the bad times and you have not shirked the bad. The others must face their maker some day. No lies or excuses will work then.
