Monday is a holiday.......so a super zealous brother asks me....."are you going out in service then?

absolutely the last thing I would want to do!

If I do go again ever, I think my presentation should be " I'm so sorry for ever bothering you with the absolute crap we're handing out. I Also apologize for thinking we knew everything. We actually know nothing about the bible, and aren't qualified to give direction to anybody!"

Had a dream about a week ago where I was in the 'truth' and was due to go on the ministry, and started thinking 'how the hell am I going to speak to these people knowing I don't believe any of it'? so I started thinking about how to be brutally honest on the doors and I was thinking to say things along similar lines as you dothemath...

The service overseer in my last congregation actually wouldn't go out on holidays because he knew it just pissed off householders more than usual. He was right on that one. I suspect the CO talked to him because he doesn't do that anymore.

Re Ministry on a Day off?

If I were n charge of the ministry I would say:-

" Today is a public holiday, and those who work on a public holiday often receive double time, therefore all brothers and sisters who go on the ministry today can REPORT DOUBLE TIME". Now that would get a full attendance.

There is a point to my observation it's could " LOGIC" and " FIGURES" That is all the ministry is. It works by cohersing. Without cohersing in my opinion the J.Ws would not go door to door. So much for the " Good News"
