Matthew 12:31-32 says, "Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."

Do you feel as if you are sinning agaist the holy spirit in any way in your life?

i think the society would like us to think we are because we left, the thing they forget is that we dont speak against anything that gods true holy spirit does as long as it is truly accomplished by means of that spirit.

but when someone or something or this organisation does what it does, then yes we balk against that most deffinately,

and anyway I dont beleive any of what they do that is not in line with the personality of god is approved by the spirit so how can we be greiving it.

but if we speak against something that we know is clearly stated in gods word the bible then we can be sure of gods dissaproval, I do love god, and dont want to upset him in anyway,

but i couldnt live like that anymore, id rather die than have to live like that with how i was treated and how i saw others treated who in no way deserved it

so if im judged for that so be it, i go down with the beleif that i truly did what i thought was right.

    love u all

To understand Matthew 12:31,32 it needs to be read in context, not something which the WTS encourages.

So, what was the context? Jesus had just healed a dumb and blind man. The "people were astonished and said, "Could this be the Son of David?" But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons." (Matt. 12:23,24) Then Jesus utters a speech which includes the words quoted by JH about sinning against the Spirit. They were attributing to Satan, Christ's "authenticating miracles done in the power of the Holy Spirit" (footnote NIV).

    That was the unforgivable sin.

    Cheers, Ozzie

First of all I thought most of Christianity believes they are one in the same.....so how could you sin against one and not the other?

Also......in dubland..........how could one of the other sheep sin against it? The dubs teach that ONLY the annointed are BEGGOTEN by Holy Spirit. The bible say's that those who have TASTED the heavenly call, then turn their backs on it, is guilty of sinning against the Spirit and this would be impossible for one of the great crowd. So......how can one of the Great Crowd sin against the Holy Spirit according to THEIR OWN definition?

Good points Gumby but, you said.............

God, Jesus, Holy Spirit in Christianity (Trinity) are not one in the same. The three 'persons' of God, make up God. JW teaching make out the Trinity is impossible, laughable and stupid. They try to make out that it as total pagan origins. But the question is, where did the pagans get their Trinity from!? I only thought about after coming out of the JW cult.

I feel as though I've edged on it in the past - that is, I considered a "word" that inhibited spiritual growth - and the "word" was of a god who was strict and demanding - judgemental (the terrible father) - I can't say whether that "word" ever became my husband or the head of the house - maybe not - maybe it was just a "man I was living with but not my husband" - in any case, I know fore-giving.

This may sound very strange but that's how it is for me.
