I'm Coming! Sorry to alarm you! Get the pit bulls out!

    Francois...

BTW, u live near Atlanta I take it...on route to Florida Where da sun iz...

I need to get out of here for a couple of weeks or so soon, I'll be driving by "the big town"...Canada is one of the greatest places on earth, except for the winter . But really, the Southeast is my home away from home. Despite all that is going on, and our differences, God bless the U.S.A. I always yearn to visit, yearly at least, if not more... I simply hope that American government in power holds close to its Constitution and its roots. If it does, world events shouldn't get too out of hand. After all, that example of liberty is looked to by countries such as us in Canada. We're not perfect. But we try to follow good examples, and get by somehow.

If any of 'yall down in that neck of the woods, drop me a line, maybe we'll meet up someday... It takes 2 days to get to where we're going. Despite our awful currency exchange, a Canadian dollar being worth 65 cents now, I've never begrudged upholding the American economy, over the years. And the character of most of the people in the Southeast is honest and infectious. And the lack of sunshine we get here at this time of year takes a toll on my health...I can't do what I used to.

Any apostofests goin' on in the next 2 months?

    reporter,

Dont mean to bust yer bubble, but im a born and bred southerner, still live "down here" and im freezin my bunz off!! Of course im not in Miami either. (but thankful im not where you are at the moment) In reply to your other comments, ill have to bust yer bubble again. The gov't in the states stopped upholding the constitution oh....about 135 yrs ago. It started with the man they refer to as honest abe. I think he was the one who broke habeus corpus by enlisting 75,000 volunteers to put down "the rebellion". Ahh but that was so long ago. Yes, but they might as well use the constitution for toilet paper now. Thats about how much it means to todays politicians and leaders in the great demonocracy. Theres one thing down here we did manage to hold on to though, RELIGION. They dont call us the bible belt for nuthin. Be sure and stop in at the local Methodist or Baptist cong, and then swing by the local pigly wiggley for some moon pies. Most folks as you probably know dont care a whole lot about whether yer a yankee or not, long as you aint rude, or your name aint Sherman.

    Cheers

Oh, cheer up, in 4-6 weeks anywhere Atlanta south -- it's gonna get warm! And here, it will still be in the 20s and 30s, maybe a stray 40, until the snow melts. Late-Feb thru March is ideal for me. I hope you have heaters! It's still a shock when the cold comes that far south, I realize. I'll be in Central Florida, most likely.

And I ain't rude, and I'm not Sherman, or Theodore (Jaracz)...

I get your point on the Constitution. Americans need to stick to that vision, no matter how it gets watered down. Remember, there is so much more going on behind the scenes that we don't know, good and bad. I'll leave it at that.

As far as I know, the next apostafest in FLA won't be until April. Write Eman, he has the preliminary info, if you intend to stay 2-3 months! Happy Trails!
