You, Bin Laden and Saddam

  The scene:

  You are alone with Bin Laden and Saddam. You have a gun, fully loaded. They do not.

  A) You can shoot them, kill them, and there is nothing they can do about it. The government will thank you, and you will not be charged with any criminal crime. The world is a safer place. Hell, you might even be a hero.

  B) You can sit and have a nice chat. We will even throw in a cup of tea, and you can talk some sense into them. Maybe they are just misunderstood, after all. One big happy family. (Hopefully they don't grab the gun from you while you pour the tea.) Surely things can be resolved and we can all get along.

  Which do you do? Consider this a real opportunity. If you really had the chance?

  Bin Laden would be more valuable alive, so he could be interrogated. I also wouldn't mind having that $20 mil reward.

  What makes you think Bush is any better? His recent displays of religious extremism is there for all to see, why can't some of you people see, the parralel thinking between bush and bin laden? Bush just has bigger weapons, and military.

  I'd shoot Saddam point blank. Pour tea for myself and Omah and, for fun, have a long discussion about the world as it is and the world as it's imagined. Bin Laden is fanatic but has many legitimate grievances against the west. Perhaps if thickheads like George Dubya started asking why we'd get somewhere in making this planet a better place to raise children.

  First of all - how many bullets constitutes 'fully loaded'? I'd use them in some creative ways before disposing of the garbage in the room. I wouldn't make tea until after I'd used up a few rounds.

  In regards to unblebruce's statement: "Bin Laden is fanatic but has many legitimate grievances against the west."

  There is nothing legitimate about bin Laden except the lice in his filthy beard.
