Two sisters decided to drive thru a flood creek during a storm so they would not miss a new Kingdom hall dedication. That is true dedication!!! When the water reached over the hood they abandoned the car and swam to saftey. A ton of Watchtower literature they had in the boot for the isolated hall was destroyed. (Hooray) So that Jehovah did not get angry they tried drying the books in the sun which to me seemed stupid. I mean really!!! Who would take these brown smelly books?? The brothers all chipped in to get them a much better car...ahhh the love. Jehovah blessed them anyway.
Special Pioneers drive through flooded creek...destroy ton of literature in boot!

they were damn fools for driving through flood waters, and lucky not to lose their lives.

I wonder if they counted the literature as placements. Sounds like a win-win situation.

WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!!!! Maybe they remembered all those convention stories from the branch representative and all those yearbook stories. They thought since they had all that literature for the Hall, of course Jehovah would miraculously make their car just float right on through as if it was on solid ground.
You can't really blame them.
I remember some pioneer in some backwater location was going to have to come off the list to get food for his family when some big wild animal (big but easy to kill) just ran into his hut and he had plenty of food for that month. I remember some truck with "just the right size" trusses broke down near a construction site for a kingdom hall, so they sold the trusses to them for virtually nothing. I remember.......

Next year there will be an experience told at a convention by a guy who was fishing somewhere down stream. All of a sudden, he noticed a tract hung up on a branch! It was the truth! Now he is our brother. (Applause) But the Angels had to destroy 3,000 other tracts to get that one, that fateful one, into the hands of a sheeplike one.

Idiots.
They put themselves and any potential rescuers in danger by driving through flood waters!
Showed a lack of respect for the "sanctity of life" . They should be brought before a JC for not respecting life...

They probably thought the waters were going to "miraculously" part for them, like Moses at the Red sea.
Instead, the water practically flushed them, and the "crap" literature, down the sewers.
In all seriousness, though, as stupid and foolish a mistake that was, and how it put them and others lives at risk, at least nobody died, or got hurt. That was pretty dumb though.
