Why are projects being shut down? Nu-light speculation....

I went to the meeting last night. Why?? I don't know. To keep the peace for now, I guess. Anyway.....

During the Bible highlights, a newly appointed MS explained why construction is being curtailed in some areas. His best friend recently returned from a lengthy work assignment at Warwick, so I have no doubt that this MS is passing on what he has heard from his friend. Did his friend hear this "reason" floating around HQ?

The explanation was to be found in 1 Chronicles where David went through all the work of preparing materials for the temple, but was then informed that he would not be the one to build it. So Jeehoober is adjusting the building work, just like he did back in David's time.

Hmmm... David was not allowed to complete the work because of the blood on his hands. Have these dubs really reasoned on this comparison??

They take every other scripture out of context to support their little cult, why not this? It actually fits pretty well - David built a house for himself first, then was told not to bother with the temple. The GB are certainly focusing on building their own house in warwick and not worrying so much about anything else.

The CLAM workbooks/coloringbooks for 2016 have all the bibblical basis for the construction halt covered.

The latest CLAM has Nehemiah named as the culprit.

Heck! If we are going down that road, Moises was forbidden from entering the promised land just because he omitted to mention who was really providing the water. I would think that they can preach a God of love that is more interested in child welfare than who is manning the water pump.

With that in mind, JWs do not seem to find enough occasions to blame God for their behavior. At least in our meetings the elders don't fail to say "Jehovah wanted us to know this", even if it is the most twisted doctrine ever. I would not believe the God they preach would be pleased with such blasphemy.

Maybe that's a rumor that is leaked so they can later pin the problems on a fall-guy?

The explanation was to be found in 1 Chronicles where David went through all the work of preparing materials for the temple, but was then informed that he would not be the one to build it.

It would be reasonable to conclude then that the current GB 2.0 is the Greater David and will be followed by the next GB 3.0 which will be the Greater Solomon. This Greater Solomon GB will build cities and palaces, marry the daughter of Pharaoh and 700 other wives. This GB will also have 300 concubines for when things get slow with the wives, because Jehovah made him extra wise on figuring out these things. But then these wives will draw the Greater Solomon GB's heart away from Jehovah so that they begin worshiping other gods.

I'm starting to think it could be possible ''tax'' situation on the horizon. In early 1990, the Borg had to implement the ''donation'' basis for their literature because publishers asked for the monetary amount to cover the cost of printing. The Borg then failed to take it's stance as a non for profit organization. They had to implement the ''donation'' system to retain it's tax free operation.

Maybe now someone's looking into this massive retail company which is developing land left an right and doesn't pay tax??????

Like I mentioned sometime before, a charity can retain a ''tax exempt'' status. But it's a whole different thing for a multi-billion dollar estate company to develop land and buildings. I could be grasping at straws, but perhaps some legal entity is looking into the WT's tax free status. Perhaps a moratorium is imposed because of this until this is all sorted out. Who knows??

So maybe they're scrambling to stuff those "volunteers" in the newly constructed housing, so they can claim they're providing free room and board to unpaid ministers and missionaries. See, they really are a charity, even the tax man will recognize that, right? They can appear warm and fuzzy and caring until the coast is clear, then move on with their original plans, whatever that is.

There's always a logical reason which doesn't reflect badly on them. Pedophiles in the congregation? Evil world sending wolves into the congregation. Jesus not arriving on time? He came invisibly. Science disproving the bible? Well the bible doesn't mean what it says at times. History disproving the bible? Lying historians don't know what they're talking about. Numbers of dubs rising? It's fulfillment of prophesy. Numbers of dubs not rising? It's fulfillment of prophesy. Lots of changes no-one understands? It's a sign of how blessed they are to get so much new information. Less magazines being printed? So much love in not overwhelming people with information.

Soooo construction being stopped is just the bronze age desert god being himself? Righty-ho. Jehovah's a real prankster god not letting them know til they'd started building after years of preparation.
