Has anybody ever been to the movies and had people sit behind and talk the whole way through. I went to see the two towers, ended up leaving before the movie got through, so i did not get to see how it ends. I could always read the book again. I read it twenty years ago so it's been awhile. Or i will wait till it comes out on video.

Thats what I would have done.... Its a great story. I try to read it as often as I can get around to it.
Hopefully you will get to see it again, without the chattering people behind you!

LOL at PR..........oh what I would give to have the guts to actually do that one day. But mainly I would save my B#$ch slaps for drunk girls who spill their freakin' beer all over me and don't even realized it!!!,,,,,,,,,of course I might and most likey will get my butt kicked .
Honestly I would have went and told the managers I think, because my blood would have been boiling,,,,,and if the management couldnt get them to shut up , I would move to another seat.....or get my money back.

The wife and I took my brother in law and his wife to see the Two Towers at the Imax theater. Wouldn't you know it, my brother in law's wife ended up having a group of morons come in and sit next to her. One had BO so bad she couldn't stand it. They had to get up and move to another part of the theater.
Tonight we all went to see the new Kevin Spacey flick "The Life of David Gale".
It was a really really good movie. It really makes a person evaluate their view of capital punishment. It's a great story and a really good ending (in my opinion). Spacey pulls it off with his typical flair for playing the difficult roles. I give it a thumbs up!

I must confess: I like talking through movies. I try to be respectful in theaters, though. Still, the temptation to run an MST3K-style commentary throughout a film, especially a film one isn't enjoying, is difficult to resist.
That was my experience with Magnolia, that bloated, meandering opus, but mostly just a mess, of a film. After two hours I was literally yelling at the screen: "End, you stupid, stupid movie -- END!" and "Frogs -- oooooh, that's deep!" Luckily, my friend and I were the only ones there, so we weren't annoying anyone.
I'd also like to take this moment to declare that, apart from my wife, I am the only person in America (and perhaps the world) who does not like the Lord of the Rings movies. Or the books.

I kept turning around hoping they would get the hint. One of them said "what's your problem"? This had gone on for two hours. I told them both to shut the f--- up their reply was to kick my seat and tell me i'd better leave before the movie ends. It was a full house so i could not change seats. I did however get up to get security. The b----- followed me out and started running her mouth some more. I got my money back and left. oh well what a nice Sat nite out. I told eisenstein now you know why i prefer to wait for the video to come out. Ten bucks to listen to some idiots yack. Why go to the movies? Stay home and talk!!!!!!!!!

More than once.I had this happening with the movies "Seven","Road to perdition",and yesterday with "Solaris".
In all three cases I 've let them know what I think of their behaviour in not quite a low voice.
It *does* attract attention of all the others in the theatre but I'm sure they are thankful that someone speaks up...
