Just noticed this in the old green bible (the one with the dinosaur on the map)
In the list of what years are covered by each book, Genesis is listed as from
46,026 bce - 1657 bce
Back then they were sure each creative day was 7000 years= 42000. Added to that is time from Adam to the exodus.

Checked it out and it is right at the top of the page. so,
This wt writer did not take into account that they teach and taught, that the events in Genesis include only preparations, as seen from an earthly viewpoint. but really,--the Big One is Gen 1:1, it is also included in the "-- time covered" and of course the bible is wrong; The earth was not created in the beginning, but ~10 billion years later, from stuff cooked up in the stars during the preceding billenia.
