On the Today show on NBC this morning , they had a guy who just got a bionic eye replacement ( made in Holland).
His optic nerve still worked, so they put in a lens and artificial iris. He's very happy with it now. I think it only cost
about 7 thousand bucks.

Haven't heard anything of it yet... Sounds pretty cool though. I know there are really progressive improvements made in artificial organs like eyes and such. It will not take long for poeple to be part human part machine. Science-fiction becomes reality.
Scary thought: bionic soldier: inbuilt night-vision, sight enhancers, heartbeat detectors etc etc. Then computer virusses will become something very nasty!
