An Obvious Omission in the J.W.'s Good News!

As baptized or unbaptised Witnesses, no one ever discussed or even mentioned (at least in my JW experience) this topic:

"We are preaching about the good news of the kingdom. Why do we preach about only one hope - living on earth? Shouldn't we be telling people the whole of the good news - that they could (allegedly) be selected to become king/priests in heaven?

Heavenly-hopers in the org are now increasing faster than the earthly-hopers.

The very first words Jesus used was about Heavenly Hope:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven"

    followed by earthly hope

    "Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth." (Mathew 5:3, 5)

Good point! Since the "new light" about two classes, the heavenly hope is only for those who are selected by Jehovah from already baptised witnesses. Any new biblestudent already claiming to be an anointed would be distrusted and viewed as unbalanced, too emotional, too puffed up, maybe even demonized by Babylon's unclean false doctrines, such as devote, passionate South-American style Catholicism. They already have too many "kings and priests", they only need more money from the other sheep, so why mention the heavenly hope more than absolute necessary?

    Very valid point Searcher!

Something that I always struggled with as a jw.

And then there's the douche bags Losch, Lett, [the] Mane, etc. that stupidly teach the "children" mentioned in the Bible as being the anointed only. Jesus never stipulated this what a bunch of crock. Hahaha

Thanks again Searcher for the brilliant insight and sparking an interesting discussion.

Some witnesses will say at the door that "there are some who go to heaven, but the calling now is for those who will live in a paradise earth". And that's really as far as it goes.

No because the good news is actually all about Jesus the messiah just check 1 Corinthians chapter 15 and Galatians 1.

Also the actual Greek texts says they will reign on earth and only as priests but that really of no importance because that's not what the good news of the kingdom is about.

Um "we are preaching the good news of the kingdom"

Did you actually say this at the door?

I was always trying to figure how Matt 24:14 was going to be preached

When would what we said was anything but lol

Almost always some WT/AW cover article as rehearsed at the service

    meeting,

    Sigh

    :0)
