Is Warwick still being built?

Does anyone know if this new freeze on all construction projects includes the new headquarters being built in Warwick?

If it does apply to it, then this really makes no sense whatsoever. The Society is poised to make hundreds of millions of dollars (perhaps even a billion) by selling the properties they currently occupy in Brooklyn. But they can't do that if they don't move to Warwick. Wouldn't it be MORE costly to not build? Am I missing something here? How much is Warwick going to cost that they couldn't complete it?

"For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?29"Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him, 30saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.'…

From what was told at morning worship, the NY stuff is still going ahead, and Warwick for sure!

Yup. It's everything except Warwick. Gotta keep the lakeside retirement home (for the GB) and the gym club (for their servants) going. Screw everyone else.

They've sold a lot of the properties off in New York already, they will have a set deadline for having to move Bethelites out of there.

If they have been relying on volunteers to build Warwick there might be things that have been going wrong, I don't think they've tackled such a large project with so many volunteers. Some posters on places like reddit have stated that work has to be redone because it is not up to standard and who knows what sort of other problems they have been running into.

But the deadline is there. It may be that they have to start looking at engaging worldly contractors to help with the Warwick build and because it hasn't been costed in, it will be a huge cost.

Is perhaps the toxic ground a big problem yet? Would you like to settle down in a toxic region.

Perhaps it is a bad Investment and they are just looking for a short term solution a stay for the bethelites and a buyer for Warwick. With the money of irrwick plus new york latetely going to london alltogether.

Perhaps a state lawyer stopped all ... or informed theme secretly ....because they might be starting an investigation on the money schemes

They can close every other JWs facility in the world and still live like kings in upstate Ny without doing a darn thing for any other JWs and they will get away with it. They don't have to pretend, they have the power and have been given impunity by JWs. No one can say a word against them no matter WHAT they say or do. However illogical it is!

Yikes, just everything seems wrong here. I mean contrary to May 2014, about that new donation arrangement. Everyone was gung-ho about having all of their mortgages forgiven, but then to submit a mandatory lump sum each month to the Borg for eternity, for the extreme need of Kingdom halls. But then now to apparently suspend all work, except for the ivory tower in that of Warwick. Bad news.

Beth Sarim - "Everyone was gung-ho about having all of their mortgages forgiven, but then to submit a mandatory lump sum each month to the Borg for eternity, for the extreme need of Kingdom Halls..."

Interesting that the Org hasn't told them to stop sending in that mandatory lump sum each month, despite pulling the plug on all that construction it was supposed to be for...
