Perhaps the whole root of our trouble, the human trouble, is that we will sacrifice all the beauty of our lives, will imprison ourselves in totems, taboos, crosses, blood sacrifices, steeples, mosques, races, armies, flags, nations, in order to deny the fact of death, which is the only fact we have.

Nice opinion JIm.
Prove to me you die. and then prove to me you were alive. That is all physical.
and WE ALL dont sacrifice.........some have other perspecives.and denying death may not be one of them.

Hi Big JiM,
Yes many people unfortunately allow such things to rob them of life's
beauties. They became slaves to their philosophies. Even those that
deny life after death imprison themselves from the beauty of hope.
They only deal with what they can touch and feel, imagination escapes them.

Introspection
Jim, to me that is the definition of idolatry. It is a type of fixation you might say, your energy becomes stagnant in those patterns instead of flowing freely, instead of living life. For that matter, I don't think too much about death either, but I'm ready if it comes.
