Loved it. It was rather long, but I listened to it while doing some chores around the house.
Loved the part about epigenetics. Genes only work within an environmental context. You can have genes that code for negative outcomes, but they are only expressed when activated by stress or other suboptimal experiences.
Take a listen. It is long, over an hour, but it also makes the laundry go quicker. 🙂

Neuroscience + law is a very complicated subject. I think a revamping of the world's different justice systems will happen as advancement in neuroscience keep taking place. I'm hoping for lots of prison reforming geared towards treating violent tendencies with intelligent technique. Punishment a thing of the past, and rehabilitation first(corrections by systems designed by neuroscience is a +++)

I love this guy! My husband was watched all his videos and I've been working my way through them. I particularly ebjoy the work he did with his baboons. Fascinating

Couldn't agree more!! Abarrent human behaviour is caused by brains wired incorrectly due to biology or more commonly abusive, unhealthy childhood experiences which loaded their brains with cortisone - producing high anxiety states. Brains that are in states of high arousal all the time.

I don't think governments prison systems of the world would be quick reform based finding of neuroscience, economic reasons, yes.
So I think that the two joined together economic and the finding of neuroscience in mapping how the brain works could lead to major reforms quick. I personally would favor a justice system based more on correction then on punishment, which I tend to view as archaic.
