The concept of "The Organization" is not new in JW-Land. It's been around since Rutherford's time. Ray Franz is quoted as saying in the first JW expose documentary entitled "Witnesses of Jehovah" in 1986:

"This concept.....this Organizational concept that the Organization is everything."

What's become more in-focus, especially since the advent of JW Broadcasting, is the total obedience and worship of the Governing Body. Everything revolves around them, what they say, how to better serve them, make them happy, and obey them, even put them in almost every prayer you hear at the Conventions, etc. It's sick! They've taken the place of Jesus, claim that they alone own all of the gold and silver (it's theirs, pee-ons!) and only by being affiliated with them and in their good graces does a JW have any hope of making it thru Armageddon. They profess to be the "Greater Moses", the mediator between mankind and Jesus. A totally blasphemous concept! It's also yet another reason they are a total cult. Replace "Governing Body" with Jim Jones, Marshall Applewhite, David Koresh, or Sun Myung Moon and it'd be just the same. The names are interchangeable. Same shit, different cults.

May be an image of text that says 'MARCH 1, 1979 THE WATCHTOWER Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom PUT FAITH in a VICTORIOUS ORGANIZATION Page 12'

    Thanks WingCommander!

Yes! Trust in men is one of their 5 greatest flaws.

The other four in my book include:

    1. They preach a man-made non-salvific gospel.
    2. Their Jesus is unrelatable.
    3. Their shunning practices are often unbiblically cruel and divide families unnecessary.
    4. Their religion, although Bible-based, is actually unbiblical.

It is interesting to note that they set their starting date back to the time when the Israelites came out of Egypt. They see themselves as an extension of the nation of Israel. They have nothing to do with Jesus and/or Christianity.

An organization that has survived 3,500 tempestuous years is surely worthy of examination. Wherein lies the strength of this organization? Why should we put faith in it today? Articles starting on pages 12 and 20 supply the answers(w79 3/1 p. 2)
GOD’S visible, earthly organization came to view with the establishing of the 12 tribes of the Hebrew people as a nation with a theocratic government over them in the year 1513 before our Common Era. There was no democratic voting for this government. The Liberator of that people from death-dealing slavery in ancient Egypt was the One who decided upon the government. He also set it up. This One was God and in that government he held the supreme power. For this reason, it is called theocratic and its ruler is called a Theocrat! All his subjects are commanded and are rightly commanded to worship him, their governmental Ruler, as their God. This was according to the first two of the Ten Commandments that were declared to the Israelite nation at Mount Sinai in Arabia. (w79 3/1 p. 12 par. 1)
Now that they are losing members, the solution? They will again try to lure the masses by talking a bit more about Jesus and Christianity, they will masquerade as Christians... make some videos, articles here and there. Just like they did in Russell's time.... When they gain enough power, they will tighten the strings again, and iron fist rule will come.

The mental gymnastics they go through to come to such a conclusion must be torturous.

And they blatantly say that your trust should be in men.
