These birch doors had mostly uninspiring patterns unlike the ghostly symmetrical "shroud-like" veneer image in your sample. It would surely have been easier for the resurrected Jesus to come through this hollow-core slab with his wt "materialized" spirit body than a locked, old fashioned solid wood door.
I prefer striped Mahogany, deeply varnished for it's beautiful rich hologram effect.
