What a crap day..... just got back from my sisters who's husbands mother has died this morning in hospital following a major heart attack. She wasn't directly related to me, but the loss feels as great as if she was. She was a game old bird, devoutly Catholic, and always liked to have a good natter about all and everything. She was half blind, diabetic and had heart failure, yet still she managed to beat us all at "Scrabble" at the last family get together. I felt so sad watching Reg (her husband) today, he looked so totally and utterly lost amongst all the family that were milling about, its just so sad. Everytime I used to see her she used to say "Hello my son" in a deep indian accent that used to make me laugh. I'll miss her like hell.

She sounds wonderful! I'm so sorry for your loss.

Diabetes has a way of sneaking up and stealing the ones we love unexpectedly. My dad died from a diabetes related heart attack, too.

I believe your not-quite-but-feels-like-a mother-in-law is in a better place now. I hope you can find comfort and Reg feels her presence still with him soon.

I'm so sorry for your loss. People we love leave a hole in our hearts and lives when they leave. I am glad she left you with good memories.

    Love,

    Nina

"People we love leave a hole in our hearts and minds when they leave"...... yes and she will. Thankyou Jesika, outnfree, and cruzan for your kind comments. I like to think she hasn't gone altogether and that Jehovah will remember her, I just don't know. All I do know is, is that I won't forget her all the time I live, and I'll still have all those funny memories of her within me. Thanks again.

Hey Scoobz...sorry to hear about that wonderful woman who passed away.

I have known people and extended families, and how wonderful it is when they include you in their thoughts and greetings.

The most important thing: that you REMEMBER her, and no doubt, will always continue to do so.

I'm sure she was a lovely person. My condolences, nonetheless.

Sorry for you loss Scooby, it just is so sad to have to face the death of a loved one. I just don't understand this whole death thing,,,,,,,,,why? If there is a creator, I have to think he must have a better plan than we just die and go into non exsistance, that is just cruel to me.

I hope there is a heavenly hope, earthly whatever, anything to reunite us with our friends and family who have died. It is just not something that we ever get used to , and always leaves us feeling a little more empty when we lose someone. Even if we don't know the person who died personally, our friends are hurting and that hurts us,,,,,,,,,so all away around, every persons dear life that is lost affects us all.

I hope you find comfort in her memory and let's hope that there is something great on the other side waiting for those like the dear lady you mentioned.
