I love his music, but I find it ironic that the song was written by a man who later heartily endorsed the fatwa or "approved hit" on salman rushdie, & all he did was write a book. What an @$$hole.

yes, its a real shame he got caught up in the religion stuff. I read about the Rushdie story, it seems Cat claims he was "tricked" into saying what he did and in any case deeply regrets it now. Well whatever, but one thing I did find interesting is the amount of work he does building hospitals and such for children, OK, Muslim children, but at the least it seems he puts his money where his mouth is....thats more than can be said about a lot of people......

Isn't life grand? Music is all we really have left at this point in time...to share and reflect. Much of what I kareoke there is strictly music and lyrics that go deep to the core and deep within the chambers of my anger.

And 'predators'? Ha!! They are easy to spot and 'kill'! And they are just that...'killed'. We send them to the 'killfiles' (covert activity in progress) and then keep a keen eye on 'them'. And keep in close mind, 'predators' 'prey' in many different ways. Not just for sex. Many prey on vulnerable jw and recent exjw or inactive jw women in this chat room at yahoo. It is very easy to spot such predators for a few of us. We deal with them accordingly...by demolishing their online bullbucky, then warning the predator that we are determined to help the one being preyed on to build up her defense mechanisms. We teach them how to spot their own vulnerabilities so as to be able to know when someone is trying to cross that boundary. To be able to not be dependant on someone else building you up. You must learn how to do this all by yourSELF. It's exhaustive, yet CAN be achieved. Soon, you learn, intuitively how to 'defend' your boundaries and feel good about saying no instead of feeling dread.
