One of the most difficult things for any citizen of any country to admit is that their own political history is rife with contradictory and unethical policies. The US created many of the same dictators that they subsequently took out, or are currently taking out. Same for the UK, former USSR, France, Germany, Europe, and virtually every ancient civilization.
That's politics...and politics is nothing more than people, acting in their own self-interest. Such is life.

There's nothing to discuss, as far as I'm concerned. Just because someone was once your friend and subsequently turned on you and murdered hosts of your citizens, doesn't mean you give them a free pass.
As I've said before, if you give your child a sling shot and they misuse it, it is your responsibility to take it away from them, not let them continue using it.
Now, since the title is things coming back to bite you in the ass, what about the current situation of the Israelis and Palestinians and Britains failure to honor the establishment of both a Jewish and a Palestinain state, right after WW1? Since many have tied Israel to this situation, maybe that is also biting us in the ass today?
Why not try an open mind on that?
