You will also see here where the easter rabbit came from and the ritual of hiding eggs that most christians participate in.

Not only most Christians......but everyone on this planet practices things...."the pagans" invented. Are people with various cultures and beliefs expected to follow a pre-decribed method of living so as not to copy anything that started with the Pagans?

All of the ways of life we have adopted were started by the pagans. To pick out certain holidays that people celebrate and say they are in the wrong is purely judgemental.

Even the bible itself said.....If a person picks out a day and devotes it to God.....don't judge him.

The Jews themselves mimicked the pagans in many of the things they adopted and believed ........that the pagans believed, before the Jews came along in history.

If your wife wore a white dress on your wedding, and wore a ring, and had a veil on, and you carried her over the threshold, and she had a bridesmade, and you had a best man, and a ring bearer........you copied the Pagans.

Gumby man... this thread was not started to debate anything. Its a holiday man, I just wanted to share this bit of information with those who are not familiar with pagan holidays.

I'm not being judgemental man.... I recal many times when people ask, what do rabbits and eggs have anything to do with easter. This is the origin. I apologize if I offended you somehow. I hope you understand that this was not my intention in the least.

Tell you what... let me edit my original post and change it to something more PC, ok?

I was going to let this go but I am sick and tired of the PC crap that everyone has to put up with on this forum. Screw being politicaly correct.

To pick out certain holidays that people celebrate and say they are in the wrong is purely judgemental.

Where the hell in my post did I say that anything was wrong?!?! Where do you get off calling me judgemental when you dont even know me? Here I am trying to share a holiday that I will be celebrating with my family here on the forum and just trying to spread a little knowledge. Just as I would not reply to a christmas thread that you might start with argumentative crap, I would be grateful if you showed my threads the same courtesy.

Not only most Christians......but everyone on this planet practices things...."the pagans" invented. Are people with various cultures and beliefs expected to follow a pre-decribed method of living so as not to copy anything that started with the Pagans?

People can do whatever the hell they want to! I dont care what holidays people celebrate or for what reasons they do it for! I fremember wondering, while still a dub, what the hell an egg laying rabbit had anything to do with Christ. Answer? NOTHING. I was making a factual statement that the rabbit was of pagan origin. Again, I am sorry if this bit of information offended you some way but its the plain and simple truth.

Had my statement not been factual, I feel that then... and only then would that post you made would have been warranted. But... my statement IS factual.

Even the bible itself said.....If a person picks out a day and devotes it to God.....don't judge him.

Three things come to mind here. First is, where the hell in my post was I being judgemental? I still cant see it! Second is, you can worship your god any way you please, it means nothing to me. Third is, and most important, quoting the bible means nothing to me. I DONT BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE OR IN YOUR GOD.

    Hello Mr. Elcapone,

Your read it all wrong there my friend. I was NOT addressing YOU. I quoted your statement then I made an observation about people ( especially christians ) and THEIR view of this. When I said "you" or "your" I did not mean YOU .......but rather a person.....this was at the bottom paragraph. Sorry for the mix up.
