  I really enjoyed talking with you. I've been where you're at and it's not easy. You need to do some research about the Witnesses. You need to learn the truth about "the truth". There are some folks here who can prove the doctrines of Jehovah's Witnesses are a bunch of nonsense. I would recommend talking with AlanF, Farkel, JT, metatron and onacruse. Look up some threads they have started, or go into the search engine here and type in whatever subject you're interested in. Maximus was also brilliant and I would recommend highly reading his posts; however he no longer posts here. Also any questions you have about what you're reading, start a thread and I guarantee you that you will get a response.

  I said I would find some links for you and here are some to start you off with. Call me, or Christina, anytime. We just want to help. Just take this one step at a time, and it's okay if you're a little scared at first. I was, and so was everyone else. Here ya go buddy:

  Sorry I missed your call, Mecurious! I was off running the usual Mom errands. I know you're scared -- I was too. THIS IS A BIG STEP. You are questioning your entire life. It's hard, it's scary, BUT it can be done. YOU CAN DO THIS. And you have a lot of people to help you. Just FYI, when I made the big decision to stop going to meetings back in May 2002, I had to go into therapy, and what with one thing and another I'm still seeing a therapist. We're down to once a month but I'm not quite ready to leave yet. You may need to consider this too. They do not, contrary to what you've read and been told, lead you down the garden path to perdition and Satan. They let you talk. They offer an objective viewpoint. They comfort you. Brian, I'm not stupid and I'm not gullible. I also will NEVER betray you and neither will Chris so please feel free to keep in touch with us if you feel it will help you.

  Thanks Tex, I appreciate the support and I enjoyed our conversation. Sorry I missed you Christine. But I'm sure I'll call back soon. I got started last night on the links. Boy, the more you investigate the worse it gets. Hopefully, I can make something positive come out of this. I'm getting ready to check some more of the links right now.

  Courage grasshopper. I can see now how therapy would have been a good idea. I went into a deep dark funk when I began my discovery quest into the ugly Truth. I shut myself into my room with tons of books, I printed reems of information from this and other web sites. I was a mess. I am much better now. After a while you will come to grips with the thing and you will be a better person for it. Don't let up until your quest is complete.
