As a brave or dumb pioneer I took the dangerous mission to update the people who were do not call...by calling on them! Some had moved one house was now a used car yard some orthodox Greeks some people had family members who died refusing blood I almost got punched afew times I was abused alot..one woman went to throw rocks at me...a man threaren me with a shovel what a hero I was...or a dumb ass bothering people. I would ask if they still felt the same way and they would tell me to #@#@ off!

AFAIK, that was a job for the Gestapo Elders, not publishers.

Never understood the 'update do not call list annually '. Was in a country/rural area. We were barely covering our territory annually. Not a lot of people moving in and out. You'd see the same cars and junk in the people's yards. It was obvious they hadn't moved.

But, something could have happened that they changed their mind. Never did, but that was the reasoning.

Since I got out of the military, I have one elder and his buddy who strongly feel that I will return to Geehovah and we all can be friends. My wife watches me play mind games with them when they come over for their visits. It is no hold bars with the discussion I get in with them. Messing with them mentally is getting very entertaining.

Years ago I was asked to do this when I was a Min Servant - I said I would not go alone, but take someone in case any one kicked off.

The elder said that was not allowed - I instantly declined the 'privilege'...
