On Monday 22 October 2018, the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon Scott Morrison MP, will deliver the National Apology to Victims and Survivors of Institutional Child Sexual Abuse at Parliament House in Canberra. This apology follows the individual apologies to child abuse victims and congregations by religious leaders and religious institutions across Australia, with the exception of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses who have refused to ‘say sorry’ to any victims or survivors of child sexual abuse or to acknowledge their suffering.

Jehovah’s Witness victims and survivors to attend the National Apology ceremony

A number of Jehovah’s Witness victims and survivors of child sexual abuse, and their supporters, will be attending the Apology ceremony in Canberra on Monday 22 October 2018 to hear the Prime Minister’s apology. To coincide with the National Apology an ‘Invitation to Apologise’ will be delivered to the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses in New York, USA. on behalf of victims and survivors of child sexual abuse within the Church of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Australia.

Representatives from SaySorry.org and JW Survivors (Ex-Jehovah’s Witness community) will be in attendance at Parliament House to draw attention to the fact that the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses refuses to apologise, refuses to recognise the Royal Commission’s findings, and refuses to adopt the Royal Commission’s recommendations.

What did last weeks WT say about following negative news stories? This should all go away if we ignore it.

People getting information from TV and their mobile devices

maybe we should contact " Today Tonight" or the news so they can try and bring more attention to the fact that the GB won't say sorry

......and they will say we have nothing to say sorry about, we did exactly what the bible told us to do.

Well in reality they didn't obey the laws of the land concerning child sexual abuse because they influenced its members or victims as it may be to hush up the incident to local law authorities.

    Go for it!

I have sent material onto the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commission) to their flagship program called "4 Corners". No replys. They have done some coverage of child abuse from the Catholic perspective but not from the wt.

Well done Zeb, although Today Tonight would get some ratings, it’s in the same vain as A Current Affair for journalistic quality, extremely poor.

If ABC 4 Corners did an investigation it would blow the lid right off. Let’s hope they do.

JW's - the only group that hasn't apologized. Now they are sticking out like a sore thumb all the more so.

I bet people in Australia are getting wise to who JW's really are.

zeb , I have sent an e-mail to SBS TV suggesting they do a story about this on their Insight program with Jenny Brockie and mentioned the ARC and the unlikely hood of Jehovah`s Witnesses making an apology.

    So stay tuned.

If more people on here do something similar by contacting some media form ,digital ,print , or TV , then more negative publicity will be given about the Jehovah`s Witness religion informing the general public that its not just a harmless religion.

You can always keep your anonymity .

Thanks for starting this post zeb
