OK, so who really was Jack the Ripper? There are dozens of theories, but nobody really knows for sure. That's why so many books get written about it.
It was Aaron Kosminski.
He was seen striking 1 of the victims by 1 witness who refused 2 testify when he realized the death penalty would b used.
He was regnized as the man whom a policeman saw near the scene of 1 of the murders.
U will also noticed that some writers say he couldn't b him be4 giving their theories,a bit like those who say that the Rennes-le -Chateau couldn't possibly have made a lot of money from masses 4 the dead.
But all you've really done is to subscribe to one of the dozens of theories that are out there. Others who are as sincere as you are believe in the other theories and think you are wrong. They have their "eyewitness accounts," too. You say, "He was seen striking 1 of the victims by 1 witness who refused 2 testify," but then how do we know about this, if the witness who saw it wouldn't testify? How credible was that witness? Could the witness have been lying? We don't know all of this - so theories abound.
You may even have the right theory - obviously somebody was Jack the Ripper. But there just isn't enough hard evidence to prove it with any degree of certainty, and that's why theories continue to proliferate.
To say that books advancing different theories are a "scam" is a bit harsh, imho. I don't think there's a big conspiracy among the publishing companies to supress the truth so they can sell more books about the various theories. Heck, if they could prove with certainty who the Ripper was, think how many books they could sell about that!
What would really make me happy would be if, during my lifetime, definitive evidence would come out about who killed JFK. I'd love to know the answer to that one for sure.
How do U explain the policeman who regnised Kosminski as the man near 1 of the murder scenes.
The person who refused 2 testify did it partly because Kosminski was a fellow polish jew, indeed 1 of the detectives went door-2-door saying they knew that Jack the Ripper was a polish jew!
I always heard that Jack the Ripper was a member of the royal family...
How do U explain the policeman who regnised Kosminski as the man near 1 of the murder scenes.
It's not up to me to explain it. If you wish others to rely on this policeman's testimony, it is up to you to establish that such a policeman existed, that he was at the murder scene at the time in question, that his testimony is honest and reliable, that the person he thought he saw was indeed this Kosminski person, and that he was telling the truth about the matter. All of this has to be shown to be true now, over 100 years after the events in question. Now, I have no doubt that you've read a book that asserted all of this as being true, but there are plenty of other books out there that give conflicting accounts. How do we know which book to believe? After this much time, it is difficult to establish the credibility of eyewitnesses. That is why so many different theories abound. One witness says one thing, another says another. One modern "expert" chooses to believe the first witness, another the second. The only way we could possibly establish the identity of Jack the Ripper after this much time would be through "hard" evidence of some sort - DNA evidence comes to mind as possibly the best option. Hundred-year-old testimonies from dead "eyewitnesses" aren't going to cut it, especially when there are so many conflicting testimonies in circulation.
I have read several different books on the Ripper. It's one of my favorite true crime cases of all time. The theory that I found most convincing, is the one contained at this web site:

Dang! How do ya edit on this thing? Couldn't find the edit button. Forgot to add: the above site denouces this book of Cornwells, but I saw a show on A&E (I think .. that or Discovery) about her search to find the answers to this mystery, and it was pretty convincing to me. But <shrug> who knows?
