I have a scanner and pictures of me, I also have a website with pictures of me on. Anyone know the best way to go about this complex, almost pagan, process????

Okay Chris,
take the scan of yerself.
Import it into your fav image editor.
shrink it down to about .75 inch square.
.jpg image format works better
optimize it (compress) to about 2K
name it.
upload it to your website.
click "my profile" above.
and just give your new picture "address"
in the designated box.

It isn't even necessary to resize the picture. The forum software will do that at display time. You'd be wise, though, to at least make it square rather than rectangular... for example, 400 pixels wide by 400 pixels high rather than 500 pixels wide and 400 pixels high. If you don't get it square, it's going to get scrunched up and look weird.
