Makayla spent the night with her Grampy and I we took her for sherbert and she loved it. She gave herself her first brain freeze though Then we played and she laughed (hers is a low chucley laugh) she slept between Thunder and I around 4:00 am she started fussing not crying but pouting my dog had eaten the nipple to her bottle so Thunder got up and warmed the frozen breastmilk my daughter had left and I put it in the sippy cup. Makalya looked at it then she would take her binky out drink from the sippy cup then shove the binky in her mouth suck away. When she wanted more milk she would pat the cup LOL I guess the binky was a substitiue for the nipple ROFLMAO she is such a cuddly lil girl while she sleeps. Well we had so much fun and can't wait to have her to ourself again

this grandparent jig just does not have a downside

I am totally in love with my granbabies, and relish every new thing they do.

i never had little girls myself( have boys) and getting to buy little girl stuff and watch 'The little mermaid" and all the barbie videos,a nd well i am haivng the time of my life.

our girls sleep with us, they have since they were very tiny.They get a kick out of watching grandma do ballet with them. Recently they got into my nightgown drawer, and dressed in high heels and well it is so cute, i just love it.

That is the cutest thing!!!!! Kinda reminds me of when I was 5 or 6 and I used to sleep with my granma and granpa...I really miss them now, but my Granma would tell me bedtime stories or let me read to her...

I don't remember this, but it's a story my gram loves to tell!

I was about 10 months old and she and my step-grampa were babysitting me. I woke up in the middle of the night crying and wanting a bottle. Gram brought me with her to bed. Grampa rolled over and saw me lying there and said, "Oh no you don't Joyce. That baby is NOT sleeping with us. There is a reason we spent money on that stupid crib." With one hand holding the bottle in my mouth, I reached my other hand and patted my grampa's cheek. Gram says the ol' grumpy curmudgeon immediately started laughing at my sweet gesture and after that I was always his "little angel child". To this day, they send me an angel Christmas ornament every year. (Another sweet story...when my parents became JWs...they quit sending me the ornaments, but continued buying them. When I left the Borg, they had 10 years worth of Christmas ornaments saved up for me!)

Sorry but for some reason everytime I tried to answer you all I had trouble on this post hmmm.

Thank you all for you wonderful comments, I enjoyed the stories the Dottie and Billygoat sharedand for you that are all ready Grandparents I too think it is one of the coolest things next to being a parent. It's so different from being an Aunt or sister-in-law (I had young inlaws) Makayla is just our heart and I am so damn glad that she will never be judged by who and what she is by the dubs. I look so forward to getting her an Easter basket etc. and teaching her to garden oh I could go on and on...
