I just thought I would warn you about something that PayPal has been doing.
They just did it to me a couple of months ago.
PayPal completely froze my PayPal Account and would not allow me to access the funds in my Account, even after I faxed them all of the very personal information they requested for "Security Reasons."
I was very shocked when PayPal did it to me -- first they E-Mailed me and told me that in order to get my Account back to normal so I could access my funds that I would have to fax PayPal my Social Security Number, a copy of my State I.D. or Driver's License, and copies of some Utility Bills in my name. So after I faxed them that information, they then told me that I would need to fax them more personal information, so I did that, and then they told me I needed to fax them my Birth Certificate and more personal information, and finally they told that my Account would probably never be returned to normal and it would stay frozen forever.
The E-Mails were definitely from PayPal, because the PayPal Customer Service person on the telephone said that PayPal had sent the E-Mails to me.
Now, I look back, and I know that I should not have given all that personal information out to PayPal.
So then, I did a search on Google and found http://www.paypalwarning.com and found out that PayPal has been doing this to lots of people and now PayPal has even been ordered to stop doing business in certain States, and there are some Class-Action Lawsuits against PayPal now for this.
I used PayPal for 3 years without any problems, but then after eBay purchased PayPal, they froze my Account and they have been freezing A LOT of people's Accounts.
Here is a Website I found warning people about PayPal freezing Accounts: http://www.paypalwarning.com
I'm not saying that you should stop using PayPal, I just thought I would let you know what happened to my Account.
I haven't used any PayPal alternatives very much.
I have used Yahoo PayDirect ( http://paydirect.yahoo.com ) a couple of times and it seemed to go okay (although I am not sure how reliable they are, but they are owned by Yahoo). I trust Yahoo pretty good.
I also used http://www.c2it.com twice and it went okay. c2it.com is run by CitiBank and America Online (AOL). I don't trust AOL completely either.
