  This threads a bit deep but what the hell. Anyone got any Philosophies on religion; [funny or not] I reckon we’ve earned them. Here’s one of mine,

  The man that doesn’t have a connection with his inner self doesn’t possess a foundation for which he can form his own mind independent from another influence or source. Religion is like a wall that blocks peoples minds from their inner self. The religious thought that has no ‘outside’ influence, that is free from being challenged, that is based totally on the groups self inflicted 'pure' vacuum of thought is a very directional and powerful thing, although, totally unbalanced and unhealthy, it's very one dimensional and specific in emotion and intent.

  I don't know if this counts, since technically it's not about religion, but I've always applied this to Jehovah's Witnesses.

  It is not the critic who counts;
  not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles,
  or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
