Who is all this money benefiting? When you have hundreds of millions or billions of dollars there will be someone trying to tap into that. Is it the Governing Body? Governing Body helpers?

Is it mid level skimmers or local congregation frauds?  With all the money being centralized it's just going to get much much juicier.

IMHO, no one is in it for personal enrichment.

These guys (GB & high level hotshots) are addicted to power and prestige. Control of billions of dollars allows you to exercise control and power to an extent that few can match.

I.e., the more assets the corporation controls, the more power these guys wield.

Power is their crack cocaine, not money.

TTATT Elder made a great post less than a week ago on this very topic:

    http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/29050003/who-benefits-from-multi-billion-dollar-real-estate-empire-that-wt

In short, anyone who's part of the hierarchy benefits in some way from keeping the scam going, with the GB members living a quite cushy life, and getting to see the world all on the dime of the R/F.

My bet is the upper brass has security of being taken care of for life, but not living super lavish. ( though that building project in upstate ny is not too shabby) my bet is the lawyers are getting the most out of this cash cow called watchtower.

Lol definatly isnt the local congregations.

I wouldnt define the GB lifestyle as "lavish" in the bill gates/ saudi prince sense but they live very well, although i think sir 82 hit the proverbial nail on the head.

There is now an army of legal experts who probably have a magnificent income from 24 hour a day handling of the legal affairs of this 8 million person disaster machine called the Watchtower.

If you've read the 'secret' elders manual, you'll see the first and last line of defense against a tidal wave of litigation is the Hadrian's Wall of legal aid.

That is the one non-voluntary chink in the armor.

Now, as far as leadership is concerned, these men have a different incentive of

personal enrichment. The GB are little Christs. (Annoited means Christ, remember?)

They now have become JW TV stars. They travel around the world making celebrity personal appearances. I doubt many of them spend a night in an uncomfortable bed or eat less than a glorious meal.  They now get to assume the title of "glorious ones" and never miss an opportunity to assert their imaginative opinions into the official beliefs of 8 million people instantly!

The GB are right up there with the Pope and the Dali Lama.

Three cheers for self-aggrandizement, hubris, and clout.

Well, the answer is, "No one and anyone."  They GB may honestly believe that they are Jesus' brothers, doing what they can for God. The CO may feel the same. The guy getting rich off the manufacture of rolly-carts and JW.ORG swag may feel the same way too. I can't really blame a JW for riding the gravy-train because who will take care of them later in life??

The answer is, " No one ", because the CORPORATION exists as a life form, it exists to exist. It is sentient and does what it must to survive. Like an ant colony, it is a super-organism, bent on survival for survival's sake.

The answer is also, " Anyone", because any individual ant can benefit from the collective organism. The ants are very protective of "Mother" because they don't have anywhere else to go.

It is, what it is. An out-of-control, parasitic life-form, that knows only that it needs to live. Can it be killed? Will it bring about it's own demise by destroying it's available bio-mass?

I beg to disagree. While not all the money could be benefiting one or a small group of persons, there is definitely someone ripping the benefits of belonging to the org. If you as a wealthy elder use it as a tax shelter, then you are ripping a benefit. The lawyers off course, and I am sure that all these investments in real state are not like buying candy. I am sure there are consulting firms and other companies involved in international transactions. Who is to say that the owners of some of these companies are not related to GB members?
