So the carts I see all over the place, where do they get them? Do they give them out to the rank and file or do they have to pay?

As far as I'm aware, they get them from the WBT$ corporation.

I'll give you one guess. Here's a clue: Do the WBT$ pay for anything for the R&F?

It's my understanding the WTS has a designated "supplier" from whom they are purchased (paid for) by the Congregation.

Not sure if congregation or publisher buys cart. Org doesn't give them
Publisher pays for support boards etc
And whatever licenses and insurance required by city or municipality which can be substantial

Local JWs don't seem to be as keen in the cart work as when it first started a few years ago. I see them from time to time in the weekend market places but well hidden. Otherwise I would conclude that JWs in my neck of the woods in New Zealand don't do cart work.

They cost $40 each, but they are only sold in pairs, so $80. There is also a full accessories catalog so it can add up.
