JW's in Spain?

  I have a cousin in law that is in the inner sanctum of the JW's at Warwick. He and his wife were always traveling on the WTBTS's dime all over the world to visit Bethels and report back etc. They have been in lockdown for over 2 years and now it looks like the gates have opened for him and wifey to travel all over again. They are meeting her uber elder in Rome to go on a 10 day cruise after "doing some business for the society in Spain."

  Anyone know what might be going on there? Like more selling off of Kingdom Halls and the like? I don't think they know that Spain is fighting wild fires either but I guess they don't care. Nevermind that COVID is still going on.

  In Spain all congregations have been told to get rid of their bank accounts. All money will now go to Aljavir and congregations will request through JW.0rg for bills to be paid like water, electricity, gas. Spain Bethel will handle all congregations business.

  It is a trial run to later implement absolute control in other branches too.

  It's alway been rather vague on what my cousin in law actually does but it's obvious he's in middle upper management because of him flying all over the world checking in on various Bethel locations. At one point several years ago they went to India to look to printing literature since it was supposed to be so cheap there.

  But the consolidation of bank accounts sounds just about right for his duties.

  Thx Lynnie for the post. This is a sure sign that they're coming out of lockdown. I suppose the final indicator will be once they open up Bethel tours again.
