Does anybody know which edition of "My Book of Bible Stories" had the fully colored pages? I'm pretty sure it came out late in the book's life, but I'd like someone to verify which one it is.

The yellow "My Book of Bible Stories" was always in colour. (1978)

I believe you're confusing it with the prior book, the salmon coloured, "From Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained." That publication didn't have any colour photos. (1958)

Actually OP is correct, many images in the original Bible Stories book were in greyscale. I think an early 1980s reprint included full colour photos. This was in line with new colour printing methods used for the second version of the You Can Live Forever in Paradise On Earth book.

I've been doing some searching, and it appears that My Book of Bible Stories remained in both color and greyscale until the 2006 soft cover revision.

I think an early 1980s reprint included full colour photos.

Can anybody verify this and let me know the revision (if it exists)? I haven't been able to find a single hard cover version that is in full color.

I’ve never seen a fully colour version, always a mixture of coloured pages and black and white. At the same time, it makes sense to think that the images were originally produced in colour, before being converted to black and white, presumably to save money. So maybe the coloured versions were used at some point?

I remember being in Spain the the 1980's and somebody had (I think) an english My Book Of Bible Stories. (or was it the red You Can Live Forever In Paradise book?)

Anyway, the Spanish witnesses were amazed, they had never seen the book before. Not sure when those books were published in Spain??

We’re making too much of what is simply a matter of printing economics. Back in the heyday of WT printing, they would print color only on one side of the 32 page signature (which was then folded multiple times on all four axes), resulting in a printed book or magazine with some pages in color and some in black and white. If you have ever tried to create a print of something which you then fold to produce 32 pages all facing the same direction you will know what I mean.

I'd also like to point this out:

The original bible stories book (1958) "From Paradise Lost, to Paradise Regained", isn't even really an original title.

It's a combination and play on John Milton's two 1600's books of poems:

    Paradise Lost

    Paradise Regained

Now WT's title always sounded familiar to me, but it wasn't until I really started becoming educated that I learned about Milton's works and saw the titles and thought, "WTF? WatchTower can't even come up with original titles for their publications?" But then again, we're talking about a publishing company that lifted a photo off some booze or porno magazine of the girl in the water and placed it into a WatchTower article and also the red "Live Forever" book. Plagiarism. It's wild what these clowns have managed to get away with.

So frankly, WatchTower has never really had an original thought. Except maybe banning blood transfusions and previously organ transplants. Their unique in that martyrdom.
