A really great example of WT pulling doctrine out of their heiney that nowhere exists in the scriptures!

When I started waking up to TTATT, I remember in my own reading the tons of scriptures that speak of God, the holy spirit, etc teaching directly. Tons of scriptures that go against the WT doctrine of only able to learn through them.

The Jan 2016 WT attempts to diffuse one of the strongest scriptures. In the article, "The Spirit Bears Witness With Our Spirit" par 10 says....

    10. What does 1 John 2:27 mean when it says that an anointed Christian does not need someone else to teach him?

10 Those who receive this invitation from God do not need anyone else to tell them that they have been anointed. Jehovah makes them feel convinced. The apostle John tells anointed Christians: “You have an anointing from the holy one, and all of you have knowledge.” He also says: “As for you, the anointing that you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to be teaching you; but the anointing from him is teaching you about all things and is true and is no lie. Just as it has taught you, remain in union with him.” (1 John 2:20, 27) Anointed Christians need to be taught by Jehovah(GOVERNING BODY) just like everyone else. But they do not need anyone to confirm that they are anointed. Jehovah has used the most powerful force, his holy spirit, to make it absolutely clear to them that they are!

Many have remarked how Jehovah and the governing body are very interchangeable. The GB say Jehovah teaches through them.

The scripture clearly says they don't need ANYBODY to be teaching them, the holy spirit is teaching them ALL THINGS and IS TRUE. It does NOT say the holy spirit is confirming they are anointed but still need to be taught by some governing body. They put that the annointed need to be taught by Jehovah just like everyone else so in their minds it translates to "taught by the WT just like everyone else" and that any thought or flash of light that the scripture means they DON"T need the WT is misinterpretation, that they just don't need anybody to confirm they are annointed.

    Blatant and appalling.

Thank you for bringing out yet another example of the GB twisting scripture in order to try to keep their position of power over everyone.

Just remember that if they reveal that they are anointed, they are automatically branded as "mentally unstable."

I hate to point out that anyone so deeply entrenched in this fantasy is probably "mentally unstable."

    Yeccchh! what utter horseshit!

They are being very manipultive inthose two sentences that you highlight.

Are they being taught by Jehovah (as they say in the first sentence) or do they need to be taught by someone else (as they suggest in the next sentence?).

Please quit trying to make sense out of nonsense.

The Bible is a collection of internally incoherent beliefs and contradictory teachings.

The "voices" in my head, are teling me that i am "special", but ONLY us. Anything else that anybody else, hears, or feels, is not real. Its just real when I hear it. What mentally diseased humans, these men are. It is absolutely sick, and on many levels.

In bible times, everyone was "anointed" after the events of Pentacost 33 C.E. Let's take Cornelius for example, he was chosen by God while still being a Roman officer. It stands to reason that he was taught more about Xianity, by other Xians.

That is a far cry from being told you must accept dogma from 7 members of a Corporation. Bottom line, the GB want ZERO input from those beneath them. They have a program that works, your job is to STFU and contribute $$$.

Playing devils advocate here however, wouldn't the scripture be referring to those already anointed? In other words, the scripture is saying that the anointed don't need to be taught. that wouldn't apply then to the non anointed then in their eyes yes?

The non-anointed are not a threat to the GB. The THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of new partakers that disprove the "decrease/end times" correlation are a definite threat to the current hierarchy.

The WTBTS is riddled with legalism. It's so terrible that only an act of supernatural origin could fix it. Again, the current leadership does not share power. They lack the ability to delegate, because contrary to their claims, they are not "spiritually mature", but infantile. Their egos require the persecution of all who disagree with their current dogma.

They believe, as did Fred Franz and Hayden Covington, that dissenters deserve everlasting death.
