You received a spirit of adoption as sons, by which spirit we cry out: “Abba, Father!”—Rom. 8:15.

Those who have received this special invitation from God do not need another witness from any other source. They do not need someone else to verify what has happened to them. Jehovah leaves no doubt whatsoever in their minds and hearts. The apostle John tells such anointed Christians: “You have an anointing from the holy one, and all of you have knowledge.” He further states: “As for you, the anointing that you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to be teaching you; but the anointing from him is teaching you about all things and is true and is no lie. Just as it has taught you, remain in union with him.” (1 John 2:20, 27) These ones need spiritual instruction just like everyone else. But they do not need anyone to validate their anointing. The most powerful force in the universe has given them this conviction! w16.01 3:9, 10

If you actually accept what the verse plainly says then it logically follows that all anointed ones don't need to be taught by a select group called the GB. But that of course is not acceptable, so they completely deny that and make up their own interpretation that in no way can possibly be construed from the actual text! IT says their anointed will teach them ALL things, not just the validity of their anointing....

That's an obvious twisting typical of religious leaders who seldom knows how others would think about their reasoning.

Kinda of a damning scripture in many ways. Anointed not needing to be taught, and there being NO LIE (or change of doctrine over and over)

The GB must think that logic is from the Devil, I expect they may start teaching this soon!

My jw wife and I were discussing this subject a few weeks ago because a brother that we have known fro decades, just received "the calling" this year and he will now be privileged to eat the crackers and drink the wine. He's a phony bs'er . She Pointed out that jehober leaves no doubt in their minds and heart about their "anointing".

So I politely asked her, "How do we explain the millions of other religious people who have also received "the anointing" and are just as convinced in 'their mind and heart' that they have the troof?"

    just saying!

Yeah, that's pretty bold to directly contradict the clear, unambiguous message of the scriptural text...in the very next sentence!

I agree sir82 that is awfully bold. Great example of how quick they clamp down the control. It's not about the bible. It's about them playing god.

    Good observations.

And yet, the society goes to great lengths to create a questioning attitude amongst all witnesses at memorial time in order to dissuade more from partaking.

As we know, they have used derogatory comments such as "some choose to partake due to emotional instability " or comments like that!

For the GB, it is an exclusive club, that they alone want to be the doorkeepers of. Just like a nightclub - if you do not have the stamp on your hand from the door bouncer, you are NOT getting in!
