Wow...higher appellate court rules that lead WTBTS lawyer Philip Brumley is 'a snake in the grass' of an attorney & that the $154,000.00 fine for fraud (submitting misleading & faulse affidavits) in 2 Montana CSA cases is upheld!

What are the chances that Philip Brumley turns states evidence against WTBTS...flips on the Governing Body to save his own ass & reputation? Yay!

Interestingly, I discovered this bloke just this week . I couldn't directly search for Donald Burney and YORWW directly through this site's search function; it always spat out an error message. (I wonder if that's deliberate, to stop Burney disciples being able to find threads about him and spam them.*) Searching the internet, I found that one exJW despises Burney so much that he wont use his real surname, but "Brumley" instead. I tried using that surname, and Lo and behold: I discovered page after page about the wonderful** Philip Brumley.

What a piece of work! Good to see that his tireless efforts to muddy the waters of CSA cases involving the WT are finally being recognised and rewarded by the secular state! 😸👍👌

    * Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules of this discussion board by mentioning this 🤞🙏 Please remove this post if it is.

** This is strictly sarcasm. The only wonderful, or more correctly, wondrous about him is his longevity.

How important was it that Brumley’s name be cleared, resulting in the need for the Watchtower to appeal?

23 In the first chapter of the book of Titus, Paul gave counsel as to what to look for in elders. One must be “free from accusation,” of unimpeachable qualities. No one may be able to point the finger at him as being of questionable personal traits. He must not be “self-willed” or overbearing; not “prone to wrath,” short-tempered; “not greedy of dishonest gain,” but, rather, outstandingly honest in his dealings inside and outside the congregation.—Titus 1:6, 7; see also 1 Peter 5:2, 3.”

There is no question that his dealings outside of the congregation have been found to be ‘outstandingly honest’ or free from accusation.

Funny how the Biblical apostles were never admonished to try and trick legitimate secular authorities.

If you go around jabbing folks with a stick until you get a black eye for your efforts, you’re not being “persecuted”.

    You're just being an asshole.
