Hi,
I've been a lurker here for a while. I'm a JW with issues; spiritually and personally (my marriage). I like to read what others have written re: JW beliefs, however, is there anywhere on this forum or another website with a simple bulleted list of:
- How the JW religion was formed, what they believed in and how they interpreted the bible
- Changes to doctrine
- Cover-up's
- Discrepancies in articles
- Anything in the bible which the JW's don't want their publishers to know. I ask this question because the GB seem to repeat the same scriptures again and again.
- The rules for re-instatement of disfellowshipped people. Why this question? A good friend of mine was DF'd nearly 8 years ago, tried to come back but the elders said no. (There is some sort of issues with the elders and this individual) He then moved to the authorised of the world where the elders there said they can't any reason why he can't be re-instated, it's up to the original congregation elders to make teh re-instatement. Needless to say, after 4 or 5 years he gave up trying to return. He won't talk to me because he respects the 'shunning' and doesn't want to put me in danger, and to be honest I think he's probably forgotten who I am now.
Any help would be great. Just a short summary with links to longer explanations with evidence so I can research at my own pace.
