...in 1951, but unfit for consumption for those JW's children & grandchildren.

w51 12/15 pp. 763-764 - Paul was known as the “apostle to the nations.” He produced “the signs of an apostle”. (2 Cor. 12:12) He unquestionably became the twelfth apostle of the Lamb.

Thankfully, (for JW's) the present spirit-inspired "faithful slave" discovered that the previous Guardians Of Doctrines (G.O.D.'s) weren't very good at guarding doctrines:

bt chap. 2 p. 19 par. 21 - Thus, Matthias became one of “the twelve.” Paul was later appointed to be “an apostle to the nations,” but he was never reckoned among the 12. He had not followed Jesus during His earthly ministry, so he did not qualify for that special privilege.

This is what I call one of many flipflops the WTS has made. Thanks for sharing.

    Excellent find The Fall Guy!

This is another one of hundreds of WT flip-flops we can add to our arsenal of...WT's U-turns, about-faces, reversals and/or second-thoughts!🤣

These G. O. D. are clowns you can't help but laugh at!

The internet is such a marvelous tool we can use to debunk WT Bullshit .

The WTBTS have got a lot of nerve! In the quote from the WT 12/15 1951 Questions From Readers article they accuse the apostle Peter & others of being presumptuous, foolhardy and in error for selecting Mathias as the replacement for Judas.

"But by casting lots to find one to “take the place of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas deviated”, Peter and those with him were acting in advance of the Lord Jesus Christ and without any instruction from him. (Acts 1:20, 25, NW) They did not wait to “become clothed with power from on high”, to “be baptized in holy spirit not many days after this”, and hence this pre-Pentecostal selection of Matthias was not done under the guidance of the holy spirit."

    Wow...just wow!

Great post, JW Gone Bad. Insight on The Scriptures on pgs 354-355 under the heading of MATTHIAS says the following: " Joseph Barsabbas and Matthias were put up for selection; after prayer, lots were cast, and Matthias was chosen. Occurring just a few days prior to the outpouring of holy spirit, this is the last instance reported in the Bible of lots being resorted to in determining Jehovah's choice in a matter." (italics mine) So who is more important in choosing an apostle, Jehovah or the holy spirit? Just one more instance of Jehovah's Witnesses writing department not checking what was written previously and making up scriptural interpretations on a whim.

It is clear from Acts and from Paul’s rants in Galatians that the other apostles never accepted him as an “equal”.

Great thread! Matthias was such an important apostle he wrote tons of letters or bible books. He was always talked about and left an indelible impression on all Christians. Everyone quotes Apostle Matthias in Bible conversations.

    Flip-flop number 12,846.

I'm never sure, though, if it is an intentional flip-flop, or if the writers and/or editors are just too lazy or uninterested to see what the organization used to teach.

Paul did not have a chip on his shoulders - he had more of a hefty log .

Poor guy. He could not cope with his views and opinions being questioned all over the show and had the nerve to accuse certain of his co-believers with trying to draw off followers to themselves. And Paul didn't do that?!

He sounds very JW-ish in mentality - and I do not mean that as a compliment.
