Usually when these charlatans $$$ get exposed to the kind of lifestyle they are living they go into hiding, still retaining the wealth mind you.
I wonder what Jesus would think if he saw people personally making money off of preaching his Gospel ?
The WTS is no different they too sold a false commercialized Gospel through its published literature, self described charlatans as well.

Believers will never waver. They are brain dead idiots.

This man is insane. It’s a shame she wasn’t more familiar with the Bible, like Watchtower he bangs on about a covenant that has nothing to do with him. When the rich man approached Jesus and asked how he may be saved, that he keeps the law Jesus said give away all your wealth to the poor and come follow me. This stumped the rich man and he went away disconsolate .
The preacher was very racist toward Jewish people, and has no love for the great unwashed.
His smarmy personality is repulsive.

If I hadn't read about it from reputable sources, I'd have dismissed the whole "prosperity gospel" concept as a joke.

The Gospel testament of Jesus Christ clearly states that if you seek money and wealth unto yourself, your doing something wrong by his standards and direction.
Particularly if your not giving to the poor and needy.
Making large amount of money from his gospel and living an enormously rich lifestyle in the process notches up that condemnation even further.
This is what happens when you let religious organizations conduct themselves like unregulated capitalistic tax free businesses.
Alarmingly most of this money came from poor, naive, ignorant people who dont see the brand new Cadillac and the private jets or the lavish luxury homes many of these charlatans have or bought from the proceeds of their activity as religoius preachers..
Remember this charlatan , the one who created the name Jehovah's Witnesses, who was once the acting president of the WTS/JWS and its chief editorial writer ?
......... J Rutherford
There is a lavishly appointed 6 bedroom home where he lived until the end of his life with his mistress..
A corrupt lying charlatan in his own right .

@ Finkelstein, I believe that picture was taken during the Great Depression.
Gee, nice Cadillac. Bet he wasn't visiting any soup kitchens.
@ OP, Copeland may have brought 120 million people to Christ but it's those same people that afforded him that lifestyle. Even if each of those members donated a mere $0.25 it would still add up to $30,000,000.
It's a good racket to get into that's for sure LOL.

I think its called fleecing the flock.
...... and back in those days of Rutherford any religious publishing house could sell their produced products/ literature for a set price tax free, unencumbered by government , particularly in the USA.
Rutherford that slime ball even deeded the home he lived in San Diego as a religoius compound thereby dodging property taxes.
Sadly even today its accepted by the WTS leaders that there are still people that are perceived to be ignorant and naive for exploitation purposes.
