And my next favourite female protagonist is Ellen Ripley, played by Sigourney Weaver.
Ripley only just survived in Ridley Scott's Alien (1979).
The sequel, James Cameron's Aliens (1986), was mostly about Ripley overcoming her trauma from the first film.
She also ends up seriously kicking ass.
Ripley is probably my favourite protagonist of all time.
