A judge in the UK has ordered strict limits on a JW father's ability to let the Watchtower indoctrinate his child. Not sure if this is precedent setting, but I think the judge is spot on. The reasons are explained in the article.
Judge acts to limit Watchtower's influence on child.

I like the decision, but surprised the judge went that far. The "freedom of religion", or in this case the freedom to indoctrinate, is being restricted for parents, and freedom from religion is more available to children. I like it!

A really good decision from the judge. It is totally wrong that young children are exposed to these vile videos.

Brilliant! Not sure what "child friendly activities" take place at a Sunday meeting however.

Hi Lee Elder - thanks for the repost, good to have it in its own thread

The story also appears in today's PRINT edition of the Daily Telegraph, on page 10
I've scanned the article from the newspaper and have added it to the above thread
BTW - have you seen the leaflets produced by the UK's NHS and the World Health Organization?

I agree in principle , if it is the mother's wish and she is bringing the boy up. However I cannot see that a father is banned from reading the Bible with his son, in this ' open and free society ' we are supposed to have. It seems worse to me to take him to Cong meetings where the skewd J.W. doctrine is put a cross. Does the Court know that they often play videos in the K.H?

Wake Me Up Before You Jo-Ho
I'm an adult and have been rocked to my core by the content streamed in the assembly hall. I didn't realize how traumatized and damaged over the images I was exposed to when I was an infant 'til I watched a Youtube clip from Paul Grundy showing a slideshow of the Armageddon imagery from our publications over the years. I broke down and wept at my computer screen, shaking and trembling in fear. It all came rushing back to me - things that have been suppressed by my subconscious for decades. To suggest that young ones today are "too young" to take in the nature of what images and videos and lessons they're exposed to is reckless. The evidence of emotional trauma and manipulation is knocking at our mind's door, all these years later.

The full judgement is around 5,900 words long, but provides some interesting background information and observations
