We had the great recession they had the great depression!
We have covid19. So far 125k dead
They had the Spanish flu 50 million dead! So which time in history would you have rather lived?
Watch Tower will continue to portray facts to favor GB doctrine, induce psychological FOG.... and promote a "sense of urgency"
"The End" is always "near" according to false prophets.... and Watch Tower.
Several broods of Watch Tower GB have all claimed the end was "near"... but now those men are dead, and this latest bizarre batch of GB will eventually go the same way.... Yet the world will keep turning.
Imagine what would happen to membership if the message was: "The end is probably coming after your lifetime!"
The only way for doomsday cults to drum up new (overlapping) generations of victims is to boldly declare renewed conviction:
"The End is Near!"
For anyone who takes the trouble to research the subject, it is far, far better to be living now than any time in past centuries. I was lucky I was born after WW2, so missed some of the bad things that happened then. So although there have indeed been reports of war, it is nothing compared to past centuries. Same for food shortages and pestilences.
The sad truth is that improved living is dooming us. The Africans, the Chinese etc. are living better and that means overpopulation and overpolution. So when we look at things with secular glasses, we got one obvious cause of doom and gloom there. Here in the West living is certainly better unless we are terrorized by some Muslim gangs.
