    The hypocrisy is astounding

(both these links go to jw..org)

In this first link to the Mother, we are educated as to What Is the Scarlet-Colored Beast of Revelation Chapter 17?

Here is what the org says about the beast:

    The Bible’s answer
The scarlet-colored beast, described in Revelation chapter 17, is a symbol of the organization whose purpose is to unite and represent the nations of the world. It first existed as the League of Nations and is now the United Nations.

Well, that's clear. No questions there. The scarlet colored beast is the United Nations. But we knew that.

And, the beast is not in God's favor at all:

Dishonors God. The United Nations was established “to maintain international peace and security.” * While this goal might seem to be praiseworthy, the UN actually dishonors God by claiming to do what he has said only his Kingdom will accomplish.—Psalm 46:9; Daniel 2:44.

Now let's check out what the Mother has to report on about South Korea in this article they published this past July Jehovah’s Witnesses in South Korean Prisons File Additional Complaints:

Since January 2016, more than 50 South Korean men who are conscientious objectors have submitted complaints to the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (Working Group). The objectors allege that the government of South Korea is guilty of arbitrary detention by punishing them with imprisonment for the legitimate exercise of freedom of religion and conscience.
    Basis of the Complaints
Two UN bodies, the Working Group and the UN Human Rights Committee, have determined that imprisoning conscientious objectors to military service is “arbitrary detention.” * The Committee’s 2014 decision on this issue determined that the government of South Korea should stop this unjust punishment of conscientious objectors, compensate those whom it has imprisoned, and expunge their criminal record. On the basis of that decision, a total of 682 South Korean Witnesses have brought complaints before the Working Group.

Here is what I don't get. Why does the United Nations support an organization that calls them the Scarlet Beast of Revelation? Does the UN not know how duplicitous the WTS is? How can the JWs in South Korea have any standing whatsoever with the UN after the way that the org degenerates the UN??

Eh...maybe the UN is like the parent who gives their kid a candy even after the kid throws a tantrum and screams out "I hate you mommy!".

And the WTS is like the kid who runs to the teacher they hate, when the bully in the playground throws sand in their eye

UN is like WTS , it would accept money from any source, could you imagine GB turning down a cheque of a million dollars from Catholic Church . Big Anthony Morris would personally deposit it( gift from Jah)

    Huh. Maybe they are.

Maybe there is more to the WTS not turning over documents and making such a firm stance in court over child sex abuse than we know about

We do know that $$$ flowed the other way during the ARC. Applewhite, the Catholic expert hired by the WTS, did not come free

Yes it is a subsequent case of hypocrisy when in one instance the WTS is calling the UN the Scarlet Beast of Revelation, then proceeds to hop on top of it and tries to use its power and influence to help them toward their own practicing religious freedom and operations.

Well, the WTS says that all governments are under Satan's authority, ruler of the world, offered Jesus the nations on earth....yet they put through many cases before the US Supreme Court, and other lesser courts.

    HYPOCRISY

The WTS uses this scripture to swing both ways.

    Romans 13

    Submission to Authorities
1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God. 2Consequently, the one who resists authority is opposing what God has set in place, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.…

    Yes!

Wasnt there a scripture that condemns those who "make use of the world" for their own ends?

The hypocrisy of going running crying to the UN for help, while also promoting the idea that the UN is a tool of satan, is simply disgusting!

Personally, I've long suspected that the UN had no clue about the WTS's anti-UN rhetoric (they are small potatoes, in the grand scheme of things, after all).
