I've added to it in bold letters:

    January 2023 Study Watchtower, page 20, pars. 1 - 3.

ALMOST 2,000 years ago, Jesus gave his life in our behalf, opening the way for us to gain everlasting life. On the night before he died, Jesus commanded his [anointed] followers to remember his loving act by means of a simple ceremony involving bread and wine. - 1 Cor. 11:23-26.

2 We [the anointed] obey Jesus’ command because we love him very much. Each year during the Memorial season, we.....also gladly increase our share in the ministry, encouraging as many [non-participants] as possible to join us [as spectators] for this special occasion.

3 In this article, we will consider three ways in which Jehovah’s people have made significant efforts to commemorate Jesus’ death: (1) by reestablishing the pattern?? that Jesus set, (2) by inviting others to the Memorial, [did Jesus set a pattern to invite spectators?] and (3) by observing [observing, as in “seeing” and not as in “obeying”] the Memorial despite difficult circumstances.

not to forget that Jesus served the bread and wine to followers with a pronounce earthly kingdom hope, so did Jesus in a way, as the second Adam with everlasting life on earth as a certainty, that he was willing to sacrifice, and

he used language to match that hope, "drink of the fruit of the vine, sit on tables eating". see also question in Acts 1, 6,7. about earthly kingdom, not denied.

John 6 too points to using the metabolism to absorb symbolic flesh and blood for everlasting life, the new covenant for forgiveness of imperfection.

wt writers need a serious analytical bible reading program.

    noun: pattern;
a regular and intelligible form or sequence discernible in certain actions or situations.
"a complicating factor is the change in working patterns"

One time does not constitute a pattern.

It was Jesus' dinner. Jesus did the inviting, not his disciples. It was a pretty exclusive guest list. That is because the dinner had a purpose.

I think it may have been nearly twenty years ago, but I wrote a post here about “The Great Rejection Feast” where I described what ‘the Memorial TM’ represents.

For a Christian, nothing can be more sacriligious than what the Dubs invite people to, to actually distribute the bread and the wine and reject it

Does that make it a Satanic ritual?

Does that make it a Satanic ritual?

Insight on the Scriptures, volume 1, page 364:

This ‘eating’ would have to be done in a figurative way, by exercising faith in the value of Jesus’ perfect human sacrifice.

    The Watchtower, 1 April 2007, page 19:

Human sacrifice in any form is demonic, and true worshippers of God stay away from anything that is connected with such a practice.

Ozzie, I agree! I can't tell you how surprised and sometimes horrified people are to hear how the jw reject Jesus memorial goes down. "you mean they pass the bread & wine around and they all reject it?!!" "yes, or most of them, those who partake are usually considered mentally unbalanced by thinking they are 'special' and part of the anointed". At times people think I am making it up and I have to tell them to look for themselves or ask a jw.

And Paul wrote to the corinthians: "Let us preach to all who are not part of us, to join us for the Lord's meal, which he established to commemorate his death. Let us go forth and instruct them that they are no longer to celebrate the pass over as their fathers and forefathers have done for a thousand years since it was put in place by Mose our prophet. No longer shall they partake in a pass over meal with their families in their own houses. Christ was nailed on the torture stake so that all those who believe in him may now, once a year, join us at our public place of worship in order to celebrate the new covenant of which the vast majority are not part of. They are now to silently observe those who are part of the new covenant take a small taste of wine and a small bit of bread. And while no one is to be physically fed during this lord's meal, let us feed ourselves on spiritual food as we preach and praise our lord for the greater part of our celebration."

It’s interesting (?) that the January 2023 Watchtower gloats about the ‘record attendance’ for the 2021 Memorial. But no mention of attendance for 2022? Have they even released that figure yet (they were already boasting about the figure for 2021 in November of that year)? It was especially easy to ‘attend’ in 2021 and 2022 because no one had to even leave home, but it seems that maybe some lost interest (perhaps a result of no regular in-person meetings)? Unless they’re just keeping everyone in suspense about an even more ‘amazing’ attendance for this year?

Attendance at the "memorial" each year brings out droves of what have been called "submarine" jws, people who come up only once a year and then don't come back till next year. When you compare the numbers of people counted as having turned in some time reported to WTS, there is a vast difference.
