Following is a letter circulating in OZ, it should be distributed around the world , its nothing new but it's suprising how many JW's dont know these basics...

Please publish and distribute this letter via fax, email, post or hand as widely as possible, it is in the public community’s interest to open up discussion and bring to light the deceitful deeds of the Watchtower Corporation this in turn may enlighten members and public alike.

An open letter to Jehovah’s Witnesses

After being involved in Bible study for some thirty years and practising as a JW Elder

I have been moved to make aware to all, that the actions of the Watchtower Society are not a reflection of God fearing and caring Christians.

    One

major concern is that the Watchtower Society joined the United Nations as a NGO (non government organisation) for most of the nineties, it is an organisation that the Watchtower has condemned as the "wild beast of Revelation" ! and they teach that it is a gross sin to join any political movement, in fact many members have died due to refusing to buy a political card, but the Watchtower joined the largest political body in the world !!! this is the ultimate in hypocrisy what’s more, the Elders who arranged this have not even been removed. The whole story is at www.watchtowernews.org this is an action that is totally incompatible with their teachings.

    Another issue

is that of the Elders covering up of sexual abuse of minors when required by law to report it, refer to the " www.silentlambs.com" web site, I have over the years experienced and witnessed much hypocrisy, lies, mind control and fraudulent activity within the watchtowers congregations, I am sure many people have had bad experiences as well.

    The other damning issue

is that after many years of "prophesying" (and that’s exactly what they did because they claimed to be God’s only true representative) numerous dates and events that never came true, it is obvious that the Scripture at Deuteronomy 18 : 22 applies to them ie "When the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did NOT speak. With presumptuousness the prophet spoke it, you must not get frightened at him."

The difference between Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Watchtower is that while Jesus Christ was the model "Jehovah’s Witness" (a descriptive name) the Watchtower is a man made breakaway group from the Adventists and set up by a Mr Russell who was an adulterer (proven by public court records) not a very good "Christian" example, this organisation is full of deception and not worthy of the name of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Many members have no idea about it because they are constantly told in no uncertain terms not to use the internet to research these issues and to shun anyone who try’s to discuss it.

Anyone who draws attention to Jehovah God’s qualities and works can be called one of Jehovah’s Witnesses! Jesus made clear ... Matt 22:37 Love God and to love your neighbour this is the greatest of the commandments.

There are many things in the world and about God that we do not understand and it’s not wrong to admit that we just simply do not know, but it’s the height of presumptuousness of any religion to claim a monopoly on God as Jehovah’s Witnesses do and get it so wrong.

My message to all JW’s is ...Wake up and walk out, don’t waste your life for a fraud. Go back to loving God, Jesus Christ, & your neighbour, you dont need anyone to tell you how to do that.

and to the public...Shun these people and give them this letter when they call uninvited to try to impose their version of "truth" on you.

Anonymous...the message is more important than the messenger.

Please copy and distribute via fax, email, post or hand to as many people as possible to make sure everyone has a copy to give to JW’s when they call with their "message" and then insist to be marked as a "do not call"

Thanks, Asitis, and welcome to the board. I am not fond of e-mail spamming, though, so I will not be spreading this message by e-mail. It is much more appropriate being posted on a board like this.

    Good going!

    Asitis Welcome

Thank you for the "letter" It is a short concise expose' of the WTS. I made copies. I do think that a few copies in local laundry mats would be good. Along with the Silent Lambs tracts.

Just using the advice I learned at all those Service Meetings I wasted my time attended.
