The Watchtower Society has always been headed by narcissistic control freaks. They use the
scriptures as a front for their human agendas ( have the power so they can control its members ). They twist and manipulate scriptures to fit it in with their ideas and controlling ways. They can write any article or any idea and it will be accepted as true by all its members.

blood policy...cannot receive blood... but you can take fractions ...who came up with this one????

shunning... the last time I read the Bible it said : treat him as a tax collector...shunning articles are another means of fear and control

1975....blaming its members for its fiasco... Watchtower articles were written where it stated that brothers, sisters read too much into what was written

overlapping generation.....no matter how they try to explain it...it flies over everyone's heads..makes no sense

field service reports....I don't remember any followers of Jesus who counted hours and return visits..the service reports are a means to control and manipulate members to pass out literature...doing the dirty work of the WTBTS

no beards...."You shall not shave around the sides of your head, nor shall you disfigure the edges of your beard" Leviticus 19:27
I don't see one scripture on one not growing a beard...somehow no one puts up a fight on this matter..

You might not notice this, but the same applies to pretty much every organization that uses the Bible. That book can be used and interpreted in any way you want; you can use it to prove pretty much anything you want.

"Twisted Scriptures" by Mary Alice Chronolager

The first blood transfusion took place in the first century. A woman with very low hemoglobin was desperate for a fraction. The Holy Spirit gave her a full transfusion.

    Luke 8:

43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years,[c] but no one could heal her.

44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.

45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked.

48 Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

Jesus preached “I want MERCY and NOT sacrifice “

Or world would Watchtower teach that the Jesus did a half job and sent her away with low hemoglobin?

Oh they know how to twist scriptures, all right, even to mean the complete opposite!

    Examples:

1). Bible: “Do not put your trust in nobles, nor in the son of earthling man, in whom there is no salvation.” (Psalms 146)

WT interpretation: “... except for us, of course. You must trust ONLY us.”

2). Bible: “In every nation, the man that fears God and works righteousness is acceptable to Him.” (Acts)

WT interpretation: “... as long as he is one of us!” (a Jehovah’s Witness).

3). Bible: (paraphrasing) “... if you see someone hungry or thirsty, or in need of clothing or shelter, you must help them and not simply say, “Go in peace, stay warm and well fed.” (Matthew)

WT interpretation: this refers *only* to SPIRITUAL HELP and not to any actual physical help regarding a person’s practical needs, lest they become ‘rice Christians’ seeking to take advantage of our mercy and kindness (selfish, unappreciative swine that hurt people obviously must be...!)

(oh, but they can sometimes help people in *extreme* circumstances or natural disasters, as long as it is organized and guided appropriately, with many rules and regulations and caveats and ‘Letters to the Bodies of Elders’ and limits and decrees and what-nots about all the proper ways to do this... while always keeping the caveat above in mind, that is, to not make any rice christians.)

    🙄😠

... oh, I know there are oodles more scriptures that they twist and turn and double back on... I could go on and on...

Mathew 24: 34 KJ.. Jesus clearly said:

" Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."

Simple enough, but you know the rest.......
