The last two female Jehovah's Witnesses escaped from the extremist Abu Sayyaf group after nine months of jungle captivity in the southern Philippines. The women were among six JW's kidnapped last August. The two men were beheaded. Two other women escaped last month.

Rumor has it that they escaped after disabling their capters with mind-numbing monotone talks from last years discrict convention. The last captor was subdued with the hilights of the last decades dramas.

All fun assiide it is good to hear they are safe but it is still sad for the families of the the ones that were executed.

Goshawk of the thinking of the good people enslaved in a corrupt organization class.

And so will the women attribute their escape to "Jehovah's protection" after nine months of captivity? Or will they ever acknowledge the role of the military who relentlessly pursued their captors, wearing the rebels down enough to allow the 'sisters' to make a break for it?

    Enquiring minds want to know...

Outnfree, they will probably ultimately credit "Jehovah's protection" through an interview in a future Watchtower magazine, while recounting their experience. I'm sure there will be mention of the military who saved them, but it'll probably be insinuated that Jehovah guided these men to do so...........

Why doesn't it make the news to hear about the thousands of mind-controlled escapees from the extremist Jehovah Witness cult, who have been in their power for decades?

Thanks Rado, for bringing this good news to our attention.

Of course one can take the micky , and no doubt they will thank their God for their safe release (As the American Nation gave thanks for the safe release of its Prisoners of war recently) but , no matter, these unfortunate women have endured nine months of hell and I am glad that they got out o.k.

Their captors are supposed to be linked to Al Kaida so any reverse in their fortunes should be welcomed.

Any one recall the film "Proof of Life"? That gave a graphic account of the kind of hardship that a hostage might have to endure.
