Japanese and Jewish Parallels

Hi all. I was just casually looking through the internet and I found this website: http://www5.ocn.ne.jp/~magi9/isracame.htm
It claims that the Israelites went to Ancient Japan. Any one want to comment?
I'm very interested in the connections between different religions, beliefs, backgrounds, and mythology (<--especially this one!).
In fact, if anyone has any recommendations for books I could read on Hebrew, Greek, Roman, and/or Egyptian mythology, please give them!
Even better: if anyone knows anything about a book on the connection of these cultures, I'd really like to check it out.

The lost tribes bit is a myth. As to similarities, some are no doubt coincidences others may reflect an indo-hittite connection. Both cultures share at least some comon theological indebtedness to ancient india. But I am guessing.

Actually the Pashtus in Afghanistan make a better claim for having Hebrew roots. I can look up the web site if anyone is interested.
