would love to hear about some seriously botched disfellowshiping cases. u know the ones that could have been handled better by a trio of rhesus monkeys. like when my auntie had an affair with a circuit overseer and they told her " no matter what u say, no matter how repentant u are, u are definately going DOWN for this!!!!" the funny thing is after all the involved parties were divorced my uncle (an elder at the time) married the circuit oversees wife! WHAT THE .. ?!!!

I remember a case where Brother P, confessed to the elders that he was regularly going to prostitutes. Well they had a field day with this one, first the Service Meeting piece about how to control sexual desires and that it is Satan causing this to stumble us. Within days the whole congregation knew about this. Then to top it off the next assembly there he was on stage if front of the whole circuit, discussing his problem and how he overcame it. As a young person at the time, we all learned from this, NEVER go to the elders, take your chances and face God at Armaggeddon.

What an embarrasment. He will never live it down, and I bet the elders enjoyed every minute of it.

My mother confessed that she had committed fornication (with her long time worldly boyfriend) 1 time. Not twice, not more, 1 time. I know. She came home, confessed to me and asked me what to do (I was 15). I told her since she was not a *practicer* of it, she should pray to Jehovah and let it go. She obviously was not going to do it again. She didn't even enjoy it. She was sobbing and crying.

She went to the elders anyway who promptly DFd her. She appealed all the way to Brooklyn. They had to overturn her DFing, telling everyone on stage that there was a mistake and she was in good standing.

During her *hearing*, Brother L______ was fondling himself under the table. She came home and told me. I will never, ever, hear that man's name without thinking of him beating off during her JC.

I know of several cases, a girl got pregnant, she was sincerely repentant, but because she was going to show they disfellowshipped her anyways. This happened to 3 of my friends. Two of them were reinstated. One, decided this religion wasn't for her because the elders actually told her that her baby was not a gift from god since it had been conceived out of wedlock.
