I just wanted to let all of you know that yesterday i had a complaint about some photographs in here..namely amandas and crimson... i looked at these pictures and i personally cannot see what is wrong with them. so i emailed the person who complained and said i didnt see the harm.. and the reaction of this so called witness was not a very nice one...and she said shes leaving the group. well that is her choice...she says that the pics are not well arranged dress.. i cannot see how that is the case because if amanda were wearing a swim suit it would be just as low cut as that...as for crimson i duno what is with the skull and cross bones.. perhaps you can explain that crimson?? anyway i was very offended by that message that that sister sent me...i think she is straining out the knatt....hey anyone else is free to comment on this please do. regards to all samantha

OK, this type of thread pisses me off and shows that they are nuts:

The question is....Could you trust a worldy family member? (in any and all
    aspects)

The family unit was designed by Jehovah God to be a haven and place for growth, teamwork and learning. In no way are we obligated to trust someone who has shown by their record that they have been untrustworthy in the past. For instance, King David of Israel's Son, Absalom was trying to seize rights and priveledges of his fathers throne by scheming to subvert the people's support to himself. This became dangerous for David who fled and hid in caves. He would far less invite anyone including family members who were untrustworthy or affiliated with Absolam to stay in his place of hiding. However there is room for flexibility if the person has shown large signs of change in their personality. Then they might be given the benifit if the doubt, or at least monitored access to the household, christian or no christian. The bible does not say yes or no to whether the head of house should let them stay or not as there are so many different situations and some concience matters involved. It is up to their own discretion based on how it would affect the other members of the family. 1 Cor 5:11-13 sets the standard by the apostle Paul. A disfellowshipped person might be allowed to stay if they rely on the family to support them, but our brothers of the faithful Discreet slave say that they should not be allowed to be participators of family study and should be clear as to the special circumstances that they are under. We would not preach to them. Usually these ones are not able to work to pay rent (eg, handicap or underage) elsewhere or are too sick to look after themselves, but at times there are other legitimate reasons.\ If this hasn't helped enough there are numerous articles in the Watchtower from past years under key search words such as Household, family, unbeliever etc. They would help get God's thoughts on the subject. Once again I hope I might have helped your bro Down Under Paul

my family have all left the truth parents included, except me and i was rasied in the truth...they have completly changed i cannot trust them to respect my stand any more on brithdays and blood even......they have no natural affection.....respect or real love that u find in jehovahs organisation....i love my family so much but have toi keep my distance.....even a short visit could be spritual dangerous......its hurts so much to have lost them tho jehovah does provide me wit comfort and in a way there is no choice....i would never leave jehovah just to be accepted by my family.....and it give me regular opp to have my obedience and faith tested......there is joy is being able to make a stand for jehovah...but i feel very alone and miss them.. i have 6 sisters and a brother....and of course my parents...... i love them but i cant trust them any more they have the standerds of the world ......i have a new family now.....i have told them i am always there if they want to come back to the meetings........

That last post dredges up a question. If JWs are so spiritually strong, so spiritually right, so spiritually all-knowing, then why are they afraid of a little bit of exposure to anything non-JW? like their families who are now out of the truth being a spiritual endangerment. This makes no sense AT ALL.

The WTBTS obviously doesn't trust their own superior teachings, they must not believe the accuracy of the attitude that "if it's not from god it will fail, if it is from god there's nothing you can do about it anyway." I vote for the position that the GB knows full well their so-called "theology" is, as we say in cooking, a crock.

If the dynamic we see between the GB and the publishers were reduced to a one-on-one relationship the former would be accused of lack of trust, jealousy, and the latter would be characterized as a co-dependant, an enabler, spineless and blind. The relationship would be characterized as dysfunctional.

Excellent post Francois (I guess that's why I highlighted almost all of it) and something I've noticed for a long time. They are so freaking paranoid about every little thing. The result, as you said, is an air of mistrust and suspicion cast upon even the simplest daily activities.
