"They will put you out of the synagogues, yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me."

Hmmmm...The WTS always said this applied to JWs leaving say, the Catholic church for the truth. I always believed it...That's not how I am reading this now. Anyone?

Where about is this scripture? Its one of the ones that mean, everybody has to answer for themselves. You shouldn't believe something just because somebody is going to kill you, or shun you if you don't. Everybody has to make their own decisions about what they believe and what effect this has on their life.

Yep. This was the type of which we now are the anti-type, verily the actual class or anti-class that Jesus was speaking about. You of course means us, and synagogue means kingdom hall and you means apostates, and they means the JWs.

Did I miss anything? Sure sounds like 'em don't it?

Yes, Beryl and keep in mind that "kill" means murder and Jesus taught that hate= murder.

Jesus mentioned synogogues. That was the place of "true worship of Jehovah" in Jesus' time. Jesus was talking to his followers. They would truly love him, and want to worship his father, but because they did not follow the "synogogue" rules, they would be thrown out and even killed. I would imagine he mentioned this because he knew it would happen in the distant future as well.

Allegedly, the WTS is the modern day place of Jehovah's worship. The way I read this now is that that we could expect modern day leaders in God's church to expel persons from the modern day "synogogue" because they felt such ones were evil because they were not following the rules. WTS is the one throwing persons out, and I think the "apostates", the ones who truly love God but cannot go along with the WTS rules and errors, are the ones being thrown out and killed.

Now, keep in mind that my brain is gone due to the benzo withdrawal (great news, the doctor says maybe in 8 months or so I'll be better), so I'm really asking for help reasoning this out. Am I way off base? Am I making any sense at all? This kind of lept out at me...

    Yes, makes sense to me...

Remember that Jesus yoke is kindly and gentle; not like the rule makers of the WTS. They do throw people out... they divide families for no good reasons - all for not foolowing the "Faithful and Discreet" slave....

It's called christian freedom, and I love it! They can't touch me no more!
